On a beautiful evening, walking your dog, you just never know who will follow you home. If you’re lucky it is a sweet little thing like Brix. She was not taking “no” for an answer when she strolled in to the home, right behind the dog. This long haired black beauty became an instant best friend. We will never know what she encountered while outdoors, but some of her teeth were broken and had to be removed. She loves your attention and doesn’t care much for being alone and she lets you know it as she can be a little vocal. Born in October, 2023, Brix is friendly and outgoing and while she doesn’t mind the other cats, it is your companionship she seeks. She would make a wonderful addition to any family.
Brix is vaccinated, altered, FeLV/FIV tested negative and microchipped. Save The Animals Rescue Team, (S.T.A.R.T.) is a non-profit humane organization, founded by Annette Lamberti, that rescues stray, abandoned, injured, and abused kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs. The animals rescued are examined by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and placed in one of our volunteer foster homes. Since S.T.A.R.T. does not have a shelter facility, these animals remain in our foster care until they are adopted. So many of these unfortunate animals are victims of pet overpopulation, therefore, this life-saving work is critical!!
It is our mission to prevent cruelty, promote spay/neuter, and to encourage awareness through education, while also teaching respect for all animals and the environment they live in. S.T.A.R.T. is a 501 (c)(3) private non-profit organization relying on and supported by tax-deductible donations, grants and group fund raising.
