My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This cutie has been through a lot in his short life. Winston found his way to the shelter with a broken arm that he had been living with for who knows how long. We got him straight to our vet and then right to our favorite orthopedic surgeon, who was able to put his elbow back together again! Winston has just been the sweetest dog through all of it, and such a good patient!! Now he is finally ready to find his forever home!

Winston LOVES his people, and jumps right into your lap to cuddle or play. He has done really well healing from surgery, but will always have a bit of a funny walk. However, this funny walk will not affect his quality of life, it’ll just be a cute little quirk. Winston does great in the car, loves playing with toys, loves other dogs and his walks. He is such a fun little dude who just deserves a great home!

Cats $75 over 5 years
Cats between 6 months-5 years $100

Dog adoptions include a written application and an on site interview. All family members, including other resident dogs, must meet the new dog.

The adoption process for cats and kittens includes:
A detailed application.
An interview with the potential adopter(s).
And a home visit, in some circumstances.

To ensure the best possible match for our cats and kittens, all applications are reviewed by our adoption committee and determination can take up to 48 hours.

We are an all-volunteer, no-kill, non-profit animal shelter formed in 1986 to find homes for the dogs, cats lost within our city limits. We are a California non-profit 501-C3 corporation # 33-0192138 so all donations are tax-deductible.
