My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Malibu and her puppies were found in a dumpster, locked in a crate. Despite this horrific event, she and her babes are now being loved and taken care of and are thriving. Malibu is kid friendly. Yay! She can stay out of her kennel at night and has done amazingly well. Her fosters went out to eat and left her out of the kennel and she did great! We are so proud of her. She eats dinner with the foster's dogs and she does great, no food aggression. We are slowly trying new things with her to see how she reacts to it. She loves to play with toys, be pet, play with other dogs. She has been child tested and did great!. I’m so glad she is coming out of her shell. What a transformation, we can't wait to see how she continues to improve.

Thank you for adopting and not buying!!! Every week hundreds of highly adoptabledogs are put to death by local shelters. Most people would be amazed at the purebred and beautiful dogs available, if they walked into their neighborhood shelter.

Rescue organizations, like mine, work hard to save as many as we possibly can but is a never ending process with breeders and Puppy Mills selling unhealthy animals to the public. If you EVER saw a puppy mill you would NEVER buy again!

All of my dogs are neutered or spayed, vet checked, completely vaccinated, wormed, groomed and checked for heart worms. They are all are current on Heart worm medicine, flea, and tick medications. They are all microchipped as well.

Adoption fee is $300 to $350 (older "friends' can be less, please inquire. Puppies are $350 - Besides fully vetting all dogs, some of of the dogs I rescue, 1 in 5 I rescue have heart worms which is very expensive to treat. I also take in dogs who need surgeries and are close to death.

More about this rescue

About us: Cody was the first pet I owned as an adult. He was a Shih Tzu that I bought unknowingly, from a Puppy Mill. He fought for his life and barely survived, suffering for the first few months of his life. From then on I was stirred by a ferocious passion to save as many dogs as I could through networking with other rescue groups and saving the ones I could off of cold streets and unwanted in shelters. Cody did not live a very long life due to a weakened body, but I was able to love on him for eight good years! He will always be loved and forever remembered. With over 400 dogs rescued so far, we ARE making a difference!!
