This helps Murphy's Law Rescue with pet care costs.
Luck is a clever, curious, energetic boy. Our vet thought maybe he’s part Oriental, based on face shape and short fur- his fur is very short, like a bullie- breed dog.
He loves to drink from the pitcher as I pour water into the humidifiers. He’ll come tearing through the house when he hears the water start to pour! He’s very affectionate in the early morning, loves scritches and pats. He’s not really a snuggler though- he sleeps downstairs in a cat tree rather than on a people bed. He loves to “help”— he helps do dishes, he helps water plants, he helps eat people food. He’s very food motivated. He likes to eat paper- you won’t need a shredder for sensitive documents with this guy around!
He is quite playful with our other male cats, and very sweet with our middle aged male- they snuggle up and nap together. Our other younger boy is his sparring partner— they don’t hurt each other. It’s more like wrestling in high school than WWE. He’s not fussed by the dog at all. I don’t think he’s ever given her a second glance unless she’s getting a chicken jerky treat. He might just be looking at the treat. We had to surrender him because he beat up our lone female cat, Pig, and hurt her eye. (Trip to the vet, will she lose the eye” kind of hurt - She healed fine, but now has to be kept apart from everyone else as she’s become quite nervous around him)
He does the usual cat stuff- walks around your feet when your hands are full so you trip over him. He is constitutionally incapable of staying off the countertops and the table. He will make a great addition to a home with someone who will play with him - would certainly prefer a feline companion to roughhouse with! I don’t know if it’s all ladies or just our lady that he doesn’t get on with - we have 3 other male cats, and he’s never had a problem with any of them.
