Marble Boy is one of two kittens that may have been dumped and abandoned in my neighborhood. My partner and I took him in after he hung out in our backyard for nearly two months. Marble Boy is an absolute sweetheart. He wants to be near you and on you, while staring deeply into your eyes and caressing your face with his paw.
He comes when you call him. He’s a vocal kitty (an expert triller) because he doesn’t want you to forget him. He is gentle when he plays with Baby Momma (she has her own post), and he is acrobatic while playing with interactive toys. He is easy-going, but timid and easily spooked or startled. Marble Boy is ready for an indoor life with his forever people. Preference will be given to potential adopters committed to keeping Marble Boy as an indoor-only cat, or indoors with access to a catio. He and Baby Momma may be from the same litter. They appear to know each other very well and get along. It would be ideal, though not required, for these two to get adopted together, because they love to play with each other.
Facts at-a-glance about Marble Boy's health: 1. Weighs 9.8 lbs. Vet says he is a “big boy” for his age (about 9 months). He was skinny/undernourished with some minor wounds when we brought him into our home. 2. Tested NEGATIVE for FeLV/FIV. The rest of his bloodwork “looks fantastic,” according to vet tech. 3. Dewormed. 4. Vaccinated recently. Booster vaccination will be due a month from his first vaccination. Foster parents have rabies certificate handy for adopter(s). 5. Recently neutered and microchipped. 6. Flea medication was applied to him in late September. Re-application due two months from first application (vet recommendation).
Indoor only (but a catio would be great!) Rehoming fee is $50. Marble Boy currently lives in Fairview.
