Rescue Plea for Scruffy the Great Dane

Scruffy, a gentle 5-year-old Great Dane with charming white-tipped toes, urgently needs a new home due to unexpected housing changes. This sweet, unaltered boy is current on all vaccinations through South Davis Vet and is truly a wonderful companion. Scruffy has been an indoor dog his whole life, is fully potty-trained, and crate-trained, making him a perfect fit for an experienced dog-loving household.

Although Scruffy might bark when meeting new people, he quickly warms up and turns into a big cuddle bug who craves affection from everyone. He gets along well with other dogs and would thrive in a home where he can be part of the family, soaking up all the love he deserves.

All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. To adopt you must have a photo ID and proof of your current address. If not on your ID then bring in a bill with your name and your current address. If you rent you must provide a lease clearly stating the pet policy or provide a name and phone number for your landlord so that we may confirm the pet policy. If you own your home you may provide a mortgage statement or property tax bill for proof.

You must be 18 years or older to adopt.

If you wish to adopt a dog and have other dog(s) at home, please bring them with you to the shelter so that they may meet. Even if your dog is wonderful with other dogs, many of the dogs at the shelter have come in as strays so we have no history on them and need to be sure they get along with your pet(s).
