Hi, I'm Bear, the adorable kitten with a personality as big as my heart! This playful little guy loves to eat and often finds himself zoning out with a curious stare, but don't be fooled-when the moment strikes, he'll dash out for some roughhousing with his siblings, Foxtail and Froggy. Bear is a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with other cats, and if you're close enough, you might just find him playfully chewing on your hair! His foster parents describe him as affectionate and easygoing, and he truly embodies the happy-go-lucky spirit of a kitten taking life one paw at a time. Established in 1929, Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV) offers quality adoptions, affordable spaying/neutering, vaccinations and microchipping services, pet care services and education programs to enhance the human-animal bond. HSSV operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are the first organization in the country to meet the guidelines put forth by the Association of Shelter Veterinarians for standards of care for shelter animals: We are the first model shelter.

We are also the first animal community center in the nation to receive Gold LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
