Rex is a bundle of joy! This playful pup loves to express himself in the most charming ways-think of him as a big ball of happiness that sometimes shows his "smile" through a playful growl. When he's not busy playing fetch or lounging in a sunny spot, you can find him trying to fit in your lap, convinced he's a tiny dog at heart!
What Rex Loves:
Attention and cuddles from his humans Chasing balls and toys (he's a pro at bringing them back!) Spending time with kids-he's gentle and loving with his little friends A Few Things to Know:
Rex has a bit of separation anxiety and prefers not to be left alone for long stretches. He's good with children and has been great with our 8-year-old and 3-year-old. He gets along with our cat, but introductions to new feline friends might need some supervision. Rex would benefit from some training to learn house manners-he's been known to counter surf for tasty morsels! Rex is a wonderful dog who deserves a loving home that can help him thrive. If you're looking for a playful companion to brighten your days, Rex is ready to bring his joy into your life! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 60 Age: 3yrs 10mths 3wks

More about this shelter
Kitsap Humane Society is a private, nonprofit animal shelter. We rescue and rehome over 6000 pets each year. Every dog or cat leaves our shelter spayed or neutered and with complete vaccines and a microchip. We have been caring for animals in need since 1908 and envision a time when all adoptable pets have loving homes.
We are extremely proud of our exceptionally high “lives saved” rate of over 96%. Through our active adoption, behavior, foster, transfer, and veterinary programs, we are able to rehome every adoptable animal that enters our facility. No animal is ever euthanized for lack of space.
In addition to caring for and adopting animals, we also provide spay/neuter services to low income residents of Kitsap County, and provide Animal Rescue and Enforcement services to our surrounding municipalities.
