My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My foster writes: Meet Safari, the dog with the gaze that could stop traffic, but a heart that could melt butter. Don't be fooled by his intense, soulful eyes and furrowed brow-behind that serious expression is a big, goofy cuddle bug just waiting to snuggle you into oblivion. If you're sitting on the couch, he's not just content to sit next to you-he must be touching you, if not sitting directly on top of you. (Personal space? What's that?)
Safari is the ultimate co-pilot in your day-to-day adventures. If you're looking at something, you can bet he's right there, squinting at it too, even if he has no idea what it is. As for fetch? Well, let's just say he has the coordination of a baby giraffe on roller skates-he's enthusiastic, if not particularly graceful. But his awkwardness? Adorable. His happy-go-lucky attitude will keep you laughing, whether or not the ball ever gets returned.
Safari is a gentleman with people and a pro at making dog friends. He plays nicely with every dog he meets and has the perfect blend of chill and charm. Think of him as a turnkey "house hippo"-content to lounge around, be your best buddy, and bring an extra dose of joy to your life. If you want a goofy, sweet, full-time snuggle buddy, Safari is your guy!

My other foster writes: Are you (or is someone you know) an adventurer looking for a buddy? This good-natured, lovable goofball is always ready for his next hike (His last fosters took him on an 8-mile hike and he did really well!! Although he is certainly okay with a more moderate amount of daily exercise)! Safari is always up for playing fetch or tug-of-war, and he also enjoys walks in the park. We're currently working on his leash manners and impulse control, and (sadly) getting him to realize he is too heavy to be a lap dog. Safari doesn't have a mean bone in his body, all he wants in life are to love and be loved!!
He is also very food-motivated, making him an excellent candidate for training. Safari has learned many commands in less than two weeks, he's potty and crate trained, he doesn't mind being left home alone, he helps me carry trash that we find on his walks, and he is making amazing strides toward becoming the most perfect dog ever!!

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.

I am playful and cute!
