Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Kalea entered Bonita Shelter as a stray. When she wasn't claimed, we scooped her up on October 29th to become a Frosted Face. She is around 10 years old and is a bit chunky (but very adorable!) at 37 lbs. Kalea is very sweet and would be a quiet, gentle companion.
Kalea went on a two-week Frosted Fling, and this is what we learned about her in a home setting:
Kalea is a sweet, calm lady who enjoys the simple things in life like lounging on a soft cushion or bed and going for leisurely walks. Kalea is a little reserved, so she appreciates a gentle approach and can be a bit shy at first. If you approach her slowly and touch her under the chin, she'll warm up to you.
Kalea is very well-mannered and doesn't jump on furniture or people, making her a good companion for someone looking for a calm dog. Her Fling Mom observed that Kalea seems to have limited hearing, but compensates by being very attentive to her person and responding well to gentle taps on her back end to go in a certain direction.
Kalea enjoys being outdoor and attended her Fling Mom's Bocce games, happily walking back and forth along the court. She loves to be part of what's going on without needing to be the center of attention.
Kalea ate well in her fling home and didn't have any potty accidents after the first two days there.
If you're looking for a sweet, calm companion who enjoys routine and doesn't mind taking life at a slower pace, Kalea could be the perfect match for you! She'll be a loyal friend, ready to share quiet moments and soft cuddles with her new family.
Stop by to meet Kalea any day of the week between 10:00 and 3:00. We look forward to your visit!
