Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Wetzels Pretzels entered the San Diego Humane Society as a stray. When she wasn't claimed, we scooped her up on October 29th to become a Frosted Face. She is about 12 years old, weighs 12 lbs., and is a sweet little granny.
While at the shelter, Wetzels Pretzels had hernia repair surgery and a dental that included the extraction of 9 teeth. She is feeling so much better after having those medical issues addressed and is ready for her new life!
Wetzels Pretzels has been on two Frosted Flings, and we have learned a lot about what she is like in a home environment. In short, she is an all-around good girl who does great with cats and other dogs!
Wetzels Pretzels is such a joy to have around that her fling home has turned into a foster home! Here is the full report from her Foster Mom:
"Weztels Pretzels paid a visit to Santa and asked for a forever family for herself and her frosted friends, since they've all been such good boys and girls this year. In fact, she's been such a good girl that she has been invited to stay in her foster home until she gets adopted!
Pretzel has been getting along great with her doggie foster siblings, and she's been excellent with the cats, too. Her reaction to them runs a spectrum between mild interest to indifference.
She enjoys going for walks with the dogs and is spunkier than I expected. We take a walk between 1.5 and 2 miles (depending on time) that includes some uphill, which she can do with no problem.
Pretzel sleeps in a large crate quietly through the night. If she needs to go potty, she'll bark to alert me to let her out, and then go back to sleep until it's time to get up. During the day she gets potty breaks every 4-5 hours, and she also knows to use a potty pad if she needs to go in between.
Pretzel has a good appetite and has no problem eating kibble. She's ready for breakfast pretty much as soon as she gets up.
Pretzel rides well in the car and enjoys going on outings. She's a very sweet little girl and enjoys cuddling with us. We have enjoyed having her and know she will bring a lot of joy to the lucky family who adopts her!"
