My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Star's journey hasn't been easy, but her heart is as bright as ever!

Found as a stray with an embedded collar and a mammary tumor, Star has been through some tough times. But even with these challenges, she hasn't lost her gentle, loving spirit.

Velcro Dog: She'll happily stick by your side wherever you go!

Affectionate: Belly rubs and cuddles? Yes, please!

Well-Mannered: Listens to commands like a pro!

Playful: Loves a good playtime with her toys.

Chill Vibes: Mostly laid-back and loves to relax with you.

More about this rescue

The HSVLC is a non-profit organization that only rescues animals based on available foster homes and funding. All of our dogs and some of our cats live in foster homes. Loving families have taken them in and are caring for them until they find their furrever home. We also house many of our cats at our office location. We have four cage free rooms dedicated to housing our resident cats. You can stop by our office during business hours to visit our residents or contact us in advance to schedule a visit with one of our fosters.
