My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Bonita, the adorable mix of athleticism and heart-melting sweetness! 🐾 At first, she might have had a few accidents while adjusting to her new digs, but now she's a bathroom pro, mostly doing her business outside like a champ.
When you come home, get ready for a grand greeting that might include a little excited tinkle-she just can't contain her joy! Bonita's also got a knack for olympic level fetching and squirrel-chasing, showing off her athletic prowess. Leave her with a frozen kong in her crate, and she's as happy as can be, showing off her crate skills.
Around strangers, Bonita's a bit of a shy gal. She'll keep her distance and might bark nervously, but offer her some treats and watch her cautiously warm up. This sensitive soul is also a cuddle aficionado, demanding affection with adorable belly flops and leaning into you when you're feeling blue-truly the sweetest therapist you could ask for!
Bonita's adjusting to her new life with grace and charm. Give her time to settle in, and soon she'll be the most loving and loyal companion you could ever wish for. Get ready for walks galore and plenty of playtime-Bonita's here to steal your heart! ❤️

There is an adorable video of me on TikTok. Click here to experience the cuteness!

My foster writes:
A 50 lb lap dog with the most gorgeous features, Bonita is more than just her looks - she's a smart, loving, affectionate, expert cuddler and impressively athletic fetch-player who loves tennis balls almost as much as she loves food.
She loves her people, and can be fearful when meeting new people. But she gets braver when she's given time, patience, and treats! She's highly food motivated, and therefore incredibly teachable. She's a young dog with energy to burn, but with a morning game of fetch, she'll happily nap by your side all day.
The city noises are tough for her, and she'd flourish in a suburban or rural environment. An adopter in the city would need to be willing to help her gain confidence. She's fully potty trained, but will have accidents when she's excited - she just can't contain her happiness!! It's super easy to manage.
She'd likely do well with a confident older (dog) sibling, but is also very content being someone's one and only.

Bonita is the perfect name for this pretty girl who gets stopped on the street all day long with people commenting on how pretty she is. She's a cuddly, snuggly gal who loves to stick close to her person, to whom she'll give infinity kisses if you let her. Her love for tennis balls known no bounds, and she'll run for one while still holding another in her mouth. She's an eager and fast learner, especially when there are treats involved.
She's growing in confidence and needs a little extra patience as she overcomes some anxiety. If you're looking for an active yet cuddly companion, look no further than beautiful Bonita!
