My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!

I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles!

I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.

Magician tolerates attention and petting but appears to be somewhat fearful or stressed in the shelter. He will likely need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that he go to a home with some cat experience preferred or at least be well counseled in fearful cat behavior.

A volunteer writes:
Little Magician has come a long way! Like his three siblings, Wizard, Which and Mage, he was surrendered as his owner had too many pets. Magician got a cold, now resolved but his left eye took a "beating". URI's can be rough on little ones...and that eye will likely have to be removed. This will not prevent Magician to do all the things a two eye kitten/cat can do! This will not prevent Magician to love and to be loved! He was so shy and for days but look at him now! He is such a sweetheart, enjoying petting and gentle words. He loves playing with toys and goes bananas over feather wands(see videos)! Magician is an amazing kitten, lovely, loving, active and playful. He is the promise of a wonderful forever best friend for many years to come. Come and meet Magician at the Manhattan Care Center.
