Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Forrest and Gump (yes, their dad is a big fan of the movie!). These inseparable cuties are brothers and best friends. They were rescued from an Oakland shelter when they were just 3 months old and have lived happily with their human dad for nearly 2 years.
In good news, their dad is starting a family with his partner and the baby is on the way! In sad news, she is very allergic to kitties. :( As such, we are hoping to find these sweet boys a home as soon as possible.
A little about them….
Forrest is an explorer cat and will tell you all about his day when you get home! He likes to play fetch with any little toy and loves bells to play with. He’s a smart boy and very loving and loyal.
Gump is the sweetest little guy who can be a little shy at times but very cuddly and loving and likes to lounge around the house all day. Couch panther alert!
Both kitties like to hide in the cabinets and love a good game of laser tag with the pointers 😃
They have been together since birth and are the best little buddies you’ll find.
Please help us spread the word for Forrest and Gump! They are healthy, happy, wonderful cats with excellent house manners.
To learn more about these cuties, reach out to Debbie at 415-548-0824 or email adoptions@jakesplacecatrescue.org.
These cats are considered a Courtesy Listing. We offer our services to help other responsible rescue groups or individuals find good homes for cats in need. We have screened and interviewed each of the individuals before agreeing to post their cats.

We have our cats and kittens listed with a little biography of each, as well as many photos and a video of each. Feel free to call and ask questions about any of our cats. We would also love to meet you at any of our adoption events or possibly we can arrange a visit with the foster family. Our adoption fee is: $110 for a cat or kitten; $150 for a pair; $80 for a senior (8+yrs). The volunteers at Jake's Place are diverse group of dedicated animal lovers. Some of us have worked in rescue before, some are new to it. Some of us have known each other for years, others more recently involved. Having all come together in the last few years and finding that we had the same passion to help cats, we started thinking about the possibilities of putting our various expertise to work in creating something wonderful. While Jake's Place is a relatively new organization, our work goes back 14 years and our energy and drive is stronger than ever. We are committed to rescuing responsibly, fostering in loving & caring homes and finding the best possible forever homes.
