My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Message for details:
This pet is available for adoption in a foster home. To meet Charlie, please call us at 619 299 7012 or email us at sdcadoptions@sdhumane.org and provide a good callback number and we will arrange for you and Charlie to meet.

How Charlie arrived:
Charlie was brought in by a community member.

At SDHS:
Charlie has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered and is now ready for his new home!

Why Charlie might be the one for you:
Charlie is looking to be someone's new best friend. He is a wiggly and happy boy, who will offer lots of love and fun! Charlie likes to take long, leisurely walks where he can take time to smell all the flowers and meet dogs and people along the way. He does well with other dogs while on walks and at the dog park. He especially likes it if there is a pup cup for him on the way home from his adventures. His foster says that he loves carrots - go figure. Charlie wants to be close with his human friends and involved in all the comings and goings of his household.. If you are looking for a carrot eating dog who rolls over for belly rubs, contact us to meet Charlie.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
