My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Sardina was brought in by previous owner on October 19, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Say hello to Sardina, the stunning blue-eyed beauty who's ready to steal the show! With her captivating eyes, one glance at her is enough to make anyone's heart skip a beat. Sardina has a high prey drive, so she needs a home without cats or small dogs under 30 pounds. She's been able to meet several dog-friendly dogs without issue and is playful with them, making her a great companion for active playdates. Sardina will benefit from lots of mental and physical enrichment to keep her happy and healthy, so be ready for fun adventures together! Whether it's hiking through the woods or romping in the park, she's eager to explore the great outdoors. Including Sardina in positive reinforcement training will be a wonderful bonding experience for the both of you. When you come to adopt Sardina, don't forget to bring a martingale collar (available for purchase at our facility) and a sturdy leash. Prepare to welcome this adventurous girl into your heart and home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
