Everyone, meet Kobe!

Kobe was surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of his own. Unfortunately, he was in a living situation where the two permanent resident dogs were not very nice to him. Surprisingly, Kobe actually very much loves other dogs and played well with his friends here. So if you have canine friends at home, we will want you to bring them here to the shelter to meet Kobe before we can allow Kobe to become a part of your loving home.

Kobe is still healing from some injuries he sustained in his previous environment so we are careful when handling him, but he truly loves human love and attention and craves pets and loving. He knows how to Sit, Shake (with both paws) and knows Down fluidly!

If you are interested in welcoming Kobe into your home, please come meet this sweet, loving boy today. Bring a tennis ball with you, as he loves to play fetch!!

If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.

Submit Application

Interview

Macomb County Animal Control will verify proper preventative care history of past/current pets and verify home ownership/review a pet policy

3.
Approve Application

Once an application is approved the adoption coordinator will schedule a time with the applicant/family to meet the pet.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If a meet-and-greet is successful the family has an opportunity to finalize the adoption.

5.
Pay Fee

Each pet has an established adoption fee and payment can be accepted in the form of credit/debit, check or cash.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

Fees very depending on age, animal, breed, etc. Fees vary and are established by the county to help offset medical and care expenses.

You are required to fill out an adoption application that is subject to review. We reserve the right to deny any application for any reason. If you would like to adopt and dog and already have a dog/s, please bring your dog/s with you so we can make sure the dogs get along. If you rent your home, live in a condo or mobile home community, please bring proof that you are allowed to have pets.
