Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Rocco, a 2-year-old handsome Pit Bull Terrier with impressive basic training skills. This playful pup has his commands down pat and is eager to show off his good manners such as: "sit", "down", and "shake". Rocco is all about giving kisses and having fun with his favorite rope toys and tennis balls—fetch is his game!
Rocco would do well in a home with children of all ages.
Rocco generally gets along best with smaller dogs, and with the right introductions, he can enjoy playdates and have a great time. However, Rocco can be reactive toward some dogs, which means he would thrive as the only dog in the household. Rocco would benefit from carefully managed playdates with dog pals, allowing him to bond and have fun with dogs he's comfortable with.
Here is what our volunteers have to say about him:
Rocco does wonderful on Doggy Day Outs. He enjoys hiking and makes a great walking buddy. He loves pup-cups and was described as sweet, treat-motivated, good listener, snuggly and aware.
"Rocco is a very sweet boy and loves car rides! He loves to have his head out the window and taking in all the city action! He is very treat motivated and loves to train and learn new things. During our walk today we continued to master sit and saw a lot of other people. Rocco is a very sweet boy and even enjoyed a nap in the car on the way back."
"Rocco did great today. Was very calm and quiet when we encountered other people and dogs. He is very happy to do anything as long as he gets to be involved. He is definitely a big lap dog. He did great with tricks/commands,"
"Rocco loved his Doggy Day Out! He did great in the car. He is so smart with his tricks and loves treats. He loved to walk and was great on the leash. He didn't pull. He did seem scared/uneasy when passing people on the trail walk. He loves pup cups and was searching for more after! I hope he finds a great home!"
Rocco is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and weighing 51 lbs.
If you're ready for a loyal playtime partner, Rocco is the perfect fit!
