Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Who has a big old blockhead, is super silly, and loves people? This girl!! Athena has been at the shelter as a stray twice, so she’s in search of a stable, secure forever home and a family committed to keeping her close! Here’s what one volunteer said about this happy hippo:
“Athena is a big, strong goofy girl. She can be a little jumpy but it is all in excitement and puppyish behavior. She would benefit from a strong handler to teach her the skills she has never been given a chance to learn. I get the feeling she really wants human approval and affection as she is very attentive to me on our walks. She`s a bouncy girl and readily accepting of my affection. Athena is a such a happy dog and just needs the right person to guide her in being the best dog she can be.”
One of the good Samaritans who found Athena on the lam and brought her to the shelter described her as very sweet and said that she loves affection and attention. Now she just needs you to give her that affection and attention!!
Athena may do best as your one and only; if going to a home with other dogs, a meet and greet is required to ensure a good fit. Please ask about Athena today!!
