Jethro is located near St. Louis and appears to be quite the Unicorn Mal! Such a loving pup, good-natured, not aggressive in any way. Loves, loves, loves getting attention. He is dog neutral and got along well with the temp foster's other dogs, who are also dog-neutral. He did well with a temp foster's older, respectful children too. He went right up to her son and put his head in his lap. He is extremely loving. He is shy meeting new people, but absolutely zero aggression. He just gives a nice sniff. No barking, no lunging. He doesn't mind his feet, ears, face, or paws touched and was a perfect gentleman at the vet office. They fell in love with him!
He loves toys and even figured out how to play with a ball and play tug with her other dog, while he had a cone on. He did great on his transport to his foster, riding well in the car. He also did really well taking a bath. He just laid down in the tub :-). Does all this sound too good to be true? Well, he is simply a wonderful dog. Where can he improve? Read on...
Jethro needs some basic obedience because he was never taught anything. He just doesn't know what he doesn't know. But he is eager as can be to please his human, so I am sure he will be a quick learner. He is also a bit on the thin side, having lacked a loving home.
That's it! He is a GREAT dog and likely perfect for someone seeking a companion Mal. Check out his YouTube video channel at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7NuP5IImg14fcLdF-LJoREF_if-v7FL-
He is untested with cats. Currently he has a submissive personality, so he may be trainable to leave cats alone. We will check in with his foster after a couple of weeks decompression to see how his high his prey drive is.
