Meet Orion!
Orion is a sweet two-year-old, 35-pound male English Bulldog with a heart of gold. He settled right into our bustling household, and his calm, loving personality quickly won everyone over. Orion is well-mannered-he lets us know when he needs to go out by going to the door and enjoys his food like a true gentleman. However, he's not keen on walks and tends to dash off when the leash appears! ??
Orion is unbothered by the two German Shepherds next door and is a fantastic companion for our 6- and 7-year-old grandsons. While he hasn't met any cats, he's shown no signs of aggression, only love and a desire for companionship. Orion handles a couple of stairs easily and has no trouble with porch steps, though he's still working on tackling the interior staircase. He sleeps peacefully through the night, preferring to rest by your feet rather than on the furniture.
Currently, we're helping him get over a mild cold, and he's scheduled for neutering soon. Stay tuned for more updates and to learn when Orion is ready to bring his gentle spirit and unwavering loyalty to a forever home that values his calm, loving nature.

Adoption fees are based on the breed, health, age, and behavioral status of each dog. All dogs are microchipped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, flea/worm treated and have had a wellness exam before becoming adoptable. If you are interested in adopting a BHNW dog, please fill out the online application. If you are matched to the dog you are interested in or another dog in our program, you will be contacted by the foster family. Prior to adopting, there is a mandatory home evaluation to ensure your home and family are ready for that dog. We require a contract for all adoptions and there is a two-week trial to ensure a good match. If for any reason you can no longer care for the dog you adopted from us, that dog must be returned to our program.
