My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Shasta!

Shasta is a sweet, lovable 1-year-old puppy with a heart full of joy and a personality that will melt yours! She’s already mastered a lot of the essentials and is ready to be a great addition to your family.

Walking buddy? Check! ‍
Shasta is an absolute pro on walks and does wonderfully alongside other dogs—she’s never had an issue with walking in a pack. Whether it’s a stroll around the block or an adventure to the dog park, Shasta is all in.

Crate-trained and chill!
No fuss about her crate—Shasta happily goes to bed and stays in her crate all night, no complaints or cries. It's also her little comfort zone when she needs some downtime, so you’ll never have to worry about her getting upset when you’re away.

Potty trained, but with a twist!
Shasta uses the doggy door like a pro, but if her future home doesn’t have one, she might need a little training with a bell and some treats—she’s a quick learner! She had one small accident on day one, but it’s all part of the adjustment process.

Toy lover and fetch enthusiast!
Shasta loves her toys and carries them around proudly—she even likes to fetch! She’ll bring the ball right back and is happy to play for hours. Sometimes she’ll whine with a toy in her mouth, but it’s just her way of showing how much she loves them.

Great with other dogs and people!
Shasta is the best with other dogs and people. She’s a bit shy at first but once she’s comfortable, it’s playtime! She’s met several dogs and has enjoyed playing with them all after a little getting-to-know-you time. She also loves to cuddle, give hugs, and be around her favorite humans—she’s a true people pup!

Smart and ready for more training!
Shasta knows “sit” and “gentle” when taking treats. She has an excellent temperament—she’s calm, intelligent, and eager to learn. Whether it’s training or just more love, she’s ready for whatever you throw her way!

Shasta is a wonderful, well-rounded girl who’s looking for her forever home. She’s smart, sweet, and full of love, and we know she’ll be the perfect companion for someone special! Could that be you?

Go meet their pets

We hold adoption events EVERY SATURDAY. PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITE FOR THE LOCATION AND DATES OF OUR NEXT ADOPTION EVENT. www.rmpuppyrescue.org

Thank you for your interest in saving the lives of these beautiful pets through our foster and adoption program.

To all the people that have called and emailed in hopes of meeting a puppy before our event, we hope you can understand, we cannot meet between events. We truly appreciate you wanting to help by adoption but ask that you make our events. We are a foster based rescue, and all of us have full-time jobs. We simply can't arrange one on one meetings with all of our foster families, our puppies and all the people that want to meet them.

Please do not call the locations of our adoption events as they do not have any information on our available dogs and puppies. We match the family energy level and lifestyle to the puppy's energy level. We do have the right of refusal. Please check out our website at www.rmpuppyrescue.org to download our Pre-adoption form and Requirements form, print, fill out and bring in hand to the event. You can also submit your application online at our website.

Here are some other things we require:

- If you rent, YOU MUST BRING A COPY OF YOUR RENTERS/MORTGAGE AGREEMENT TO THE EVENT. We do this to confirm you own your house or if you rent you are allowed to have a pet in your home. NO EXCEPTIONS.We would like to see if there is a weight or breed restriction. No rescues will be adopted to those persons who do not bring a lease or agreement to the event.

- You must show a valid drivers license, and You must be 19 years or older.

-You MAY NOT bring your dog to our event. This is due to the fact that our puppies have immature immune systems.

-Any animals you own MUST be Spayed or Neutered. NO exceptions.

- RMPR adoption fees are $225-600 this includes your microchip, starter puppy food and of course lots of puppy love!

RMPR Does not take checks. We accept, cash, Visa, MC, and Discover. NO AMEX (sorry)

RMPR and its directors have the right to refuse the adoption for any reason. Please see our website www.rmpuppyrescue.org for more details on how to adopt.

We appreciate your interest in our lovely rescues. If you would like to join our Puppy Brigade through volunteering or fostering one of our rescues, we would love to have you. Please visit our website for more details.
