My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Jewel is a sweet 15-lb. Dachshund mix. She has shy moments and needs time to get to know the people she meets. Once she is acquainted with people, she is very sweet and affectionate. She likes some dogs but not others, so she would need to meet other dogs to see how well she gets along. She is respectful of cats. She would do best with older children, ages 6 years and up. We think she is about 8 months old.

Please Note: You must live within a 175-mile radius of our facility to be considered for adoption.

All our dogs and puppies are spayed or neutered, vaccinated for rabies, Bordetella, and distemper/parvo, given flea medication, heartworm tested, and given a microchip before going to their new home.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Applications are processed in the order they are submitted, per pet. If the pet is adopted to a previous applicant, we will contact you.

2.
Interview

After processing your application we will contact you, and arrange a time for you and your family to come in and meet the pet.

3.
Approve Application

If the meeting is a success for all parties involved, you can adopt the pet and take the pet home.

4.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

The public is welcome to come in and meet any of our pets available for adoption, during open Adoption Wing hours.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fees are $225 for dogs, $250 for puppies and $85 for cats and kittens. Seniors are 1/2 off!
This fee includes spaying and neutering and other important veterinary services.
