Meet Remmy, a playful and affectionate one-year-old Blue Heeler mix weighing in at 40.4 pounds. With boundless energy and a goofy personality, Remmy will surely bring you giggles and smiles. Remmy was surrendered to the shelter by his elderly owner, who realized they could not provide him with the exercise and the enrichment he so needed. He was loved dearly but will succeed in an active home with lots of space to run and play. He`s a true outdoor enthusiast who previously lived with other dogs, horses, and even cats. While he may get a bit excited around cats, he can coexist peacefully with them. Remmy is fully kennel trained, loves chasing his ball, and adores human companionship. This loyal and loving boy will always stick by your side, showering you with kisses. A home without chickens will be ideal for Remmy!
Remmy is microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and available for foster to adopt until he`s scheduled to be neutered at The Babinski Foundation. You can visit him Tuesdays through Sundays from 8:30 to 5:00 PM!

We strive to ensure a safe, healthy, and loving environment that will provide temporary shelter for abandoned, stray, and surrendered animals and to find each animal a new and prosperous home.
The Babinski Foundation is a private 501c3 animal shelter located in Pequot Lakes, MN. We are a safe place to surrender dogs and cats. We also are a stray drop-off facility for stray cats and dogs.
OUR STORY
The Babinski Foundation was established in 2010 by Donald and Elizabeth Babinski owners and founders of Babinski Properties which owns multifamily housing in Minnesota, Florida and South Dakota. He and his wife Elizabeth were working tirelessly to get the animal shelter opened which was their dream, but Donald Babinski passed away August 11th, 2014 before the shelter could open. Elizabeth continued where they left off and the Foundation opened in January 2016 in Pequot Lakes, MN. Elizabeth passed away on November 13th, 2020. Donald and Elizabeth’s dream was finally realized, and Donald and Elizabeth’s surviving family and friends will continue to work hard to fulfill their mission.
