Meet Clyde, a resilient 1-year-old gray and white cat with a wild spirit and a heart full of survival instinct. Clyde’s journey to the shelter began when a good Samaritan found him lying on the side of the road near Ojo Caliente, covered in clay and severely dehydrated. After receiving immediate medical care, including much-needed fluids, Clyde began to regain his strength, and his true, independent nature emerged.
Clyde is a definite feral at heart. While he’s no longer in survival mode, he still prefers to keep his distance from people and is quick to meet any hand with a swift swat and a hiss. He’s not yet ready for the comforts of human companionship, and he may never be, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have potential to thrive in the right environment. Clyde would do best in a home that can offer him the space and freedom to live out his wild side. He would love a setting where he can explore, hunt, and roam at his own pace, such as a barn or a large outdoor enclosure.
Though Clyde isn’t the type of cat to cuddle on the couch or purr in your lap, he’s a survivor who deserves the chance to live life on his own terms. He will thrive in an environment that respects his boundaries and allows him to continue to express his natural instincts.
If you`re looking for a cat who enjoys his independence and is ready to take on the world on his own terms, Clyde could be the perfect addition to a home that offers him the space to roam and grow. He may never be a lap cat, but he’s a strong and capable feline who’s ready for his next adventure.
