My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chip (female) is a 14 mos old 50 lb Austrialian Cattle Dog/Heeler/Hound mix. She is a very loyal and energetic dog. She loves to follow me around, and loves to cuddle. Chip also loves being outside sunbathing in your securely fenced yard. Chip loves to play fetch, play with other energetic dogs like herself. She is house trained and crate trained. She is leash traiined and will benefit from daily walks and hikes. Her ideal home (house with a yard) is an active home with children and a dog her size to pal around with. No cats due to her energy level. No apartments. She will require a lifetime of monthly heartworm/flea/tick prevention. A years supply of heartworm prevention will be required to be purchased from the Shelter as part of her adoption fee since her previous owners did not take care of her and she had to be treated for heartworms.

Once you have found an animal you would like to adopt, complete the application by visiting our website at: hhsanimals.org and clicking on the animals picture. We will review it and forward to the animal's foster and have them contact you to go over the next steps.
Our adoption fees are:

Dogs and puppies = $175 + tax
Cats and kittens = $105 + tax

Adoption fees for purebred animals and out-of-state adoptions will be different than those listed above.

These fees include all age appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and spay/neuter. We have discounted adoption fees for senior citizens and senior animals.
