My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 2 years
Weight: 4.2kg / 9.3lbs

Meet Jenga, the timid cat looking for some stability. He`s a bit of an under-socialized boy who thinks that new people and new places are very scary, so the shelter has been a very stressful place for him. With this in mind, the best home for Jenga would be calm, quiet, and without young children. However, he has lived with other cats before, so with proper intros, may do well with a kitty companion in the home! Who knows what Jenga is hiding behind his scared exterior; maybe he`s a champion cuddler? An energetic player? A secret singer? You`ll get the chance to watch Jenga grow into the cat he was meant to be when you take him home!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
