We found a stray litter of kittens probably two years ago and kept one - I have never owned a cat before, I am mostly a dog person. But as time has gone by, she seems to be getting progressively more 'protective' of the house/us. I have 3 children ranging from 13-6 so there is constant activity and company over, but she has repeatedly 'attacked' (hisses, swats, and scratches) neighbors and friends (mostly children, but one adult) as they walk past (not instigating anything with her). She is overall a very good cat and friendly towards us, she loves to kneed on fleece blankets and purr and lay near you but it is tough with company and hard to keep her confined. She has been spayed and microchipped by a Baltimore County Clinic.
I think she could have a better life in a different home where she does not have to be kept away for parts of the day because of company.
(Also, I do not know her breed, I guessed - I do not know much about cats)
