A23170 Duco is a red mahogany colored, approximately 7-month-old, 48-pound, neutered male, Retriever / Lab mix.
He entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 10-26-2024 due to the fact they were moving and couldn't take him to their new home.
Duco is a friendly, eager and excited boy here at the shelter. Our staff says he is still all puppy and loves everyone. He loves affection and being pet. He loves the play yard with all the toys and playing fetch. He was easy to leash but pulls in excitement to be out exploring. He shows a friendly in other dogs here, as if he wants to play. The previous owner says he has lived with children, but no other pets and that he is house broken. He is a puppy and will still need some training to be his best family member. Duco will be a fun-loving family member in his new forever home.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
