Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Papaya has spent some time in foster care and because of her foster moms love and commitment, Papaya (nickname: Bonza) has really come out of her shell! Here are some notes from her foster mom:
"She really is a good rabbit. She's very social and sweet. She follows me around the house a lot to see what I am doing, and sometimes she just sits and hangs out nearby. Something that really stands out about her... is that she has amazing recall! I've learned to call her using a specific sound, and she always comes to me (she has learned to associate that sound with potentially getting a treat, so she is very food motivated ??). She loves to receive pets and can even be a cuddle bug sometimes, snuggling up on the couch. In the morning and evenings, she performs entertaining binkies around the living room and can jump up quite high in the air. I also brought one of my family's dog beds into the house, and she loves to spend a lot of time lounging on it, it's her personal memory foam couch! She is currently about 90-95% potty trained, she does all of her "main" business in her litter box, and occasionally leaves little droplets around in other places, but not often. She never pees outside of her box. I believe we can get to a point where she is closer to 95-98% potty trained. Another note is that she doesn't seem like she is afraid of dogs... I brought my mom's dog to the house a couple of times, and while they were separated by two gates, they did get a glimpse of each other once and the Bonza seemed like she wasn't very bothered, but more curious, and she just continued eating her hay. There was no stomping either. Occasionally she will stomp, but very rarely. I've also been trying to get her used to being lifted by lifting her into my arms once in a while for a minute or so, and most of the time she won't try to escape. She seems like she is getting the point that it is ok to be lifted. When the weather was warm we also brought her outside in her enclosure for about an hour and sat with her, she loved being outdoors and wasn't afraid there either. Overall, she is not easily spooked and just likes to hang and be a part of the herd.

We require potential adopters to fill out an pre-adoption application. If that application is approved, the dog/cat must be spayed/neutered before it leaves our shelter (if not already done). If it is a puppy under 4 months old, we allow it to go home with the adopters under a foster care agreement until it is old enough to be returned for spay/neuter. Kittens are allowed to leave before spay/neuter is done, but they must be done within a certain time frame.
Fees: Dogs/puppies range from $150-300, depending on if they came in already spayed/neutered or if we paid to have that done.
Cats range from $80 - $140, though we often have deals on older cats or cats that have been there a long time.
Kittens are $60 with $25 refunded once it has been spayed/neutered.
All adoptions include at least the first vaccination, deworming, de-fleaing, microchip ID, and 6 weeks of pet insurance.
