My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Howdy, I'm Scooter. You may not believe this but I am estimated to be born in May of 1999. Crazy hey?!?! because I definitely don't act like I'm older. My life story up until HEA took me in is kind of sad. I am from the Keshena Reservation. My owner had me chained up outside with no shelter, food, or water. The nice people that come to spay/neuter dogs on the reservation saw that I wasn't being taken care of the way I should be and asked the people if they could take me since they weren't caring for me. They reluctantly agreed, but agreed none the less and now I am safe. I did test heartworm positive and am currently undergoing treatment for that, but HEA will take care of that so I will be heartworm free in no time! I am a very affectionate black and tan coonhound mix (no one really knows what I am but that's the guess). I enjoy playing with other dogs that are not dominate, puppies and little dogs are cool too! I also like to splash around in a kiddy-pool which probably means I would like the lake too! I think I could make someone a really awesome companion and hopefully it's you! Nuzzles, Scooter
