Meet Joy!

She recently lost both of her parents, a senior couple. A kind foster took her in and has been enjoying Joy's playfulness and cuddles. Unfortunately her foster can't adopt her, but she wants to find Joy a really great adopter or adopters, and will keep her until she transitions to a safe and loving forever home.

Joy is truly a sweetie. She loves walks, naps, car rides, playing with big dogs and chasing them! She's an older girl but her personality is like a 2-year-old puppy. She'll follow you everywhere. She's cool with sharing food and people.

She'd be happiest in a home with an enclosed backyard. She comes with her brand of dog food and her new things.

Her foster says they're starting to fall in love with Joy, and they're hoping to find a lovely family who'll also fall in love with her.

First you must fill out an application which we will review. Then we will do a phone interview, reference check and finally a home visit before a dog is placed in your home. We ONLY adopt to homes where the dog is an indoor dog, part of the family and treated as such. We stress excellent nutrition, proper training and follow up with all our adopters.

We are probably have one of the more thorough and difficult adoption processes... and we love that people want to adopt and don't want to discourage adopters! So please, if you're in a hurry, or not an exceptional furever home - please try other rescues or a SHELTER is a great option too!
