Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**Meet Rain - Your Energetic, Affectionate, and Smart Companion!**
Rain is a delightful, medium-to-high energy girl who's as loving as she is playful. With a heart full of affection and a zest for life, she's ready to bring joy, love, and adventure to your home. Whether she's curled up beside you or fetching her favorite ball, Rain's presence will brighten your day.
She's not just about cuddles and play, though-Rain is also quite the smarty pants! She knows how to *sit*, *shake*, and *lay down* on command, making her an excellent companion for training, bonding, and fun tricks. Her eagerness to please makes her a quick learner, and she's sure to pick up new tricks in no time!
It's important to know that Rain is very strong on leash. While she is smart and eager to please, this skill will take time and patience to train. However, she does mind her manners in public and has had positive experiences in several stores.
When she's not showing off her skills, Rain loves to sit by your side and give you all the affection she can. In fact, she truly believes she's a lap dog! No matter how big or small you are, she'll happily climb into your lap for a cuddle, as if she's convinced she's the perfect size to be your personal lap warmer.
Rain has a playful side too. She adores playing fetch and is especially fond of balls, which she will happily retrieve and bring right back to you for the next round of fun. But she's not picky-she loves any toy that gets her moving and keeps her engaged. With her medium-to-high energy, she's always ready for some active play, whether it's a game of fetch, running around the yard, or just having fun with her favorite toys.
Rain is house trained and has indoor manners, making her a perfect companion for home life. She does enjoy being on couches and takes a little bit to settle down due to the kennel stress. She's also a good traveler once she's had a chance to adjust to the car, and she's ready to join you on all your adventures.
While she's sweet and affectionate, there's one thing Rain isn't too fond of: bath time. The hose is a bit scary for her, and she can get anxious during baths. But don't worry-she loves hanging out in her kiddie pool, where she can enjoy the cool water and soak up the sun in peace.
Rain is looking for a home that will appreciate her affectionate nature, energy, and loving spirit. If you're looking for a playful and smart companion who will be your loyal sidekick for years to come, Rain is ready to make your family complete.
She may be suited best in a home with older kids because of how strong she can be and her love for sitting on laps.
Rain has had positive experiences with other dogs. As always, we strongly recommend a dog to dog test to be sure it is a good match. If bringing your resident dog for a dog test, please bring proof of DHPP, bordatella, and rabies vaccines.
To meet Rain, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
