Chip, affectionately known as Chippers or Mr. Potato Chip by his foster, is an amazing, lovable kitty who's sure to steal your heart! Though he's initially shy around new people and environments, he warms up quickly with patience and care. Once comfortable, Chip is all about love and attention-he adores belly rubs, chin scratches, and being doted on.
Chip thrives in a calm, low-maintenance routine. He prefers kibble over wet food or treats, drinks lots of water, and isn't interested in toys. His favorite activities include lounging on the ottoman or sitting quietly in doorways, observing the world around him like a curious little king.
With a mellow temperament, Chip is an ideal companion. He has adjusted beautifully to his foster home and gets along well with other cats. Providing him with a safe space, like a carrier during his initial transition, helps him feel secure as he takes things at his own pace.

Our cats and kittens go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccines, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.

Current programming such as our Adoption Program, Military Veterans’ Program, and Healing Paws Pet Therapy Program create positive, impactful connections between people and animals, improving the lives of both. On the horizon are additional programs to keep pets in homes, such as a pet food pantry, affordable pet training options, and temporary housing for pets when families are in crisis.
