I am a very clever 6 month old dilute calico girl. I found my own way to the shelter when I was lost and starved. My foster mom just happened to be driving down the road one day calling out for a friend’s cat when I heard her and meowed out to her. She recognized a kitten’s meow and came to me. I was very hungry and sitting under a car lost. She took me to her friend’s home down the street. They gave me food and water and took care of the fleas that I was covered in and the awful ear mites in my ears. Then they took me back to where they found me just in case I belonged to someone, but to their delight I followed them back home. They taught me how to go in and out of the house through a hole in the garage just in case I had a home. They put me outside to see if I wanted to go back home, but within seconds I found my way back into the kitchen through the little hole in the garage. Even though I knew how to leave the house, every evening my foster mom’s friend would find me sitting on the couch waiting for her when she returned home from work. They decided that I did not have a home and my foster mom took me to live with her miles away until a proper home could be found for me. I went to the vet for a check-up and got spayed and vaccinated. The vet thought I may have some Persian, but I’m probably really just a mutt. My foster mom and her friends all say that I’m an incredibly smart kitty and very sweet. I sleep with my foster parents every night and I am very polite not to wake them up. I adjust easily to new situations. I would be happy as an indoor kitty on my own or with another young kitty for me to play with. I like large houses. I had a blast last weekend when my mom was away and I had to be babysat at big house. My babysitter thought I was very obedient too. She only had to tell me once not to do something and I would not do it again. I prefer a home where I can sleep with my parents. I like to be loved. If you do hold me, I will purr. I like to interact with my family. I play string toy and ball and laser pointer, and will chase just about anything you want me to chase. I’m not skiddish and don’t bite or scratch, and am fine with small children. I have a 2 year old human boy friend who I like to play tag with. I don’t mind manicures, so you can easily trim my nails if you need to. Pretty much, I’m an easy going little kitty who is looking for a safe home with a lot of love. My adoption fee is $75 to cover 2 FVRCP vaccinations, Frontline Flea Treatment, and Spaying. Please email the shelter for an adoption application.
