Marina is 50% Dalmation/50% Bluetick coonhound and was adopted from us by a couple 4 years ago as a puppy and was recently returned by her owners when they moved. We also took in Marina's "sibling":Saylor, who is partially deaf. The two girls are extremely close and while a home for them together would be amazing, we will consider separating them. Marina weighs 80lbs and is a big, solid girl. She is very loyal to her person and is 90% a very good dog. She does like to put inappropriate things in her mouth and she gets a little nervous in new situations and will bark at guests coming in to the home, but she warms up quickly. Marina had multiple hot spots when she came to us, but we have switched her to a chicken-free diet and had her and she is not currently having any issues. She was said to have had extreme anxiety in her original home, but we have not seen any signs of that in her foster home. In fact, we have weaned her successfully off the anxiety medication her owners had her on and have noticed no real changes in her personality. She definitely needs some leash training as that obviously was overlooked by her previous adopters. She is part hound so its 50/50 if she listens when you call her or not. However, she is dog and people friendly and would thrive in an active home.
Anchor is chipped, up to date on shots and spayed. If adopted on her own, her adoption fee is $200. If adopted with Saylor Grace the adoption fee for both together is $300.
