My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little miss Cleo is predicting that you need her in your future! Cleo is a beautiful approximately one year-old tuxedo cat. She is easy to handle, but can be a squirmy wormy and loves to explore her surroundings. She is looking for a home to roam around in with lots of things to climb on and windows to look out of. She may need an initial warm up period, but once she is comfy with her people, she loves everyone and will 100% be a lap cat who enjoys pets and snuggles. She warms up quickly to other people and pets, with proper introductions. She just recently began showing a love for toys, liking wands and laser pointers, and she can be easily persuaded with Churu!

Cleo came from a location where there were a volume of other cats. She enjoys other kitties and has no hesitancy towards engaging with any of them. She likely would do well with respectful kids of all ages, however, she can be quite the escape artist so we would recommend a home where adults (and children!) are very diligent about keeping exterior doors firmly closed. Cleo has not been around dogs while in foster care, but she may be able to adjust to a cat-savvy pup, with proper introductions.

Cleo is estimated to be about a year old. She has been spayed, flea treated, dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Want a social and sweet addition to your home? Consider adopting Cleo today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
