Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Joey, a 10–14-month-old male "Magnadoodle" (Magnificent Doodle) who's 15 inches tall at the shoulders and weighs a perfect 23 pounds! With his striking gray merle coat and one mesmerizing blue eye, Joey is a certified head-turner.
This sweet boy is a mix of cautious curiosity and quiet charm. Joey loves the outdoors—whether it's lounging on the deck, following squirrels along the fence line, or racing across the yard at lightning speed when called. He's a passive observer by nature, preferring to watch the action unfold rather than jump in headfirst, but he's learning to chase toys (and occasionally bring them back). He's also working on leash manners and braving loud noises like a champ.
Joey is crate-trained and feels safe his kennel—it's his go-to spot for a good nap or some downtime. He's quickly caught on to house training like a pro. As for quirks, Joey's got a signature move: walking on his hind legs alongside his foster mom in the yard. He's also learning the joys of a stuffed Kong, slowly developing his inner foodie.
He's been great with other dogs he's met, from big to small, but he's a bit skittish around young children and has not interest in chasing a cat.
Joey is looking for a place to call home where he can continue to bloom. Could this thoughtful little doodle be your new best friend?
* We do want to note that this dog is still quite shy and nervous. For this reason, the best home will have a fenced yard and another dog to help this rescue boy learn about life and feel safe.
