My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Breeze, a 5-year-old female Pit Bull Mix with a heart as warm as her welcoming smile. This pretty girl weighs 45lbs. She was found roaming the streets. Now, she's ready for a second chance at life and we couldn't be more excited to introduce her to you.

Breeze is an active and energetic pup who loves to play and explore. She's always up for an adventure and enjoys long walks with her human friends. But don't be fooled by her active nature - she also knows how to relax and cuddle up for some quality bonding time. She'll make the perfect companion for someone who leads an active lifestyle but also loves to lounge around with their furry best friend.

This sweet girl is a true people pleaser and will quickly become your best friend. Her affectionate and charming personality will win you over in an instant. She's curious about the world around her and loves to make new friends, both human and furry. However, she can be a bit picky when it comes to other dogs, so as with all Adoptions a Meet and Greet with all dogs she will be sharing her home with is required.

Breeze has been spayed and microchipped, he is updated all vaccines including rabies. She has been given a dewormer and started on flea/tick prevention, heartworm tested (NEGATIVE) and given heartworm prevention.

More about this shelter

The Orange County Animal Shelter is responsible for providing humane care to unwanted, lost or abandoned animals
The Orange County Animal Shelter provides safe haven and vet care for hundreds of animals of all ages and descriptions each year.
Happily, we have had great success promoting our animals on Petfinder, Petsmart adoption events and now with the help of Adopt-A-Pet. Dozens of animals have been adopted by people who have come from many other states. Would you like to join them? If so, please let us know! The greater our reach the more homes we will find for the animals in our care.
Although we are about 1.5 hours away from the Washington, D.C. metro area, it is an easy drive. You can even make a day of it and stop off at country stores, Civil War battlefield sites and a huge mall complex in Spotsylvania/Fredericksburg. And after all, what is a few hours in drive time when you will be meeting your new best friend? If you need help getting here, call us for directions
