My name is Checkers!

Meet Checkers!  Checkers is a beautiful torti, just 3 - 4 years old. She is a rockstar.

Checkers was dumped, abandoned and pregnant, in a rural neighborhood. She had her babies and safely hid them in a brush pile. Knowing she needed help and wanting the best for her babies, she found the Good Samaritan, who sh had befriended before giving birth, and lead her to her babies. The Good Samaritans rescued Checkers and the babies, contacted us, and were brought into care. Later, Checkers was also kind hearted and took two more kittens that were orphaned and cared for them as her own.

Checkers has been with us a long time and is patiently waiting for a home of her own. She has a very easy-going personality and is very loving. Checkers acclimates fairly easily and is not shy. She would be a great companion cat and gets along with other cats and loves people. She has lived in a home with children  and would do well in a home with kids over 8 years old and adults.
