Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Latte here is a pint-sized shepherd girl looking for love. At an adorable 52 lbs,
Latte has an itty-bitty shepherd shape and sweet personality that make her a perfect companion for anyone looking for a playful, friendly and loyal friend. Above all though, it’s her love of toys and the dedication to carrying a stuffie around in her mouth that pushes the cuteness into overdrive. Take a look at her in action- https://youtu.be/Q1GVVil_GJ4
When we are getting to know a dog we like to cover all the key elements of a dogs personality, leash walking, dog-friendliness, level of affection seeking, cat-tolerance etc. Introducing you to Latte within those “categories” really helps give you a thorough insight. Starting with leash walking, Latte was calm and at ease on leash. When passing another dog she showed interest but did not stop or try to pull towards the dog. For her estimated age of 1 year old, she has a great basic sense of leash walking and with practice and guidance, is going to make a wonderful walking partner and adventure companion.
When introduced to other dogs her enthusiasm for making new friends was clear. Her interactions were friendly, occasionally excited but overall welcoming and well-mannered. Latte felt at ease in the company of other dogs and would enjoy a playmate. Once she feels at home, she will easily build a playful connection with another dog in the home. She is respectful and even when excited, was great at not being pushy or overwhelming. Her playstyle is gentle and easy-going.
Latte would thrive in a home with a yard where she has room to move and play, maybe even master fetch. Her foster family has been working with her on all the qualities it takes to be a good house dog, so she’s ready to fit right into a loving home. When introduced to our house cat, Latte was a bit too eager, likely in a playful way but knowing this we would encourage a cat-free home for Latte to avoid the chaos of a dog chasing a cat around the house.
Latte’s love for people shines through in her playful interactions. She enjoys saying hello with a paw on your shoulder and might even snuggle up for a bit before she’s ready to wiggle out for more fun. Her absolute favorite thing is squeaky toys/stuffies. She loves to toss and chew on them with joyful focus and is delighted when you toss a toy her way, although she's more of a "keep-it-to-herself" toy player. Toys keep her happily engaged and her love of a relaxing lay-around make her a dog that isn’t going to be too needy.
Latte has a contentment that any dog lover will enjoy and she is ready for adoption! If you are interested in Latte and have any questions about her or the adoption process please

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties?
The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it!
Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks:
• 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.)
• A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week)
• One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan
• 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan
• Coupons for a fun visit to Petco
• Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!
