HOW TO ADOPT: This dog is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this dog, please email fosterinquiry@arl-iowa.org.
---
- Really nice guy who is full of personality and so much fun!
- Enjoys going for walks, playing fetch and snuggling; he'll automatically drop his toy after fetching it
- Can be a little worried about new things, but give him some time to loosen up and investigate them at his own pace, and he recovers well
- Has been doing great with housetraining in his foster home and had just a couple of accidents at first; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new schedule and routine
- Has also been doing well in the crate in his foster home and will whine a little, but not too much
- Has done well with kids in his foster home
- Has been friendly and respectful of other dogs and absolutely loves playing and cuddling with the dog in his foster home; may enjoy a dog friend who wants to play
- Has seen small cage pets in his foster home and has done fine
- May have allergies (more info at ARL)
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
