My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Luna is a nearly 4 year old Egyptian Baladi who we rescued in late 2021 with her mom and siblings. She has found herself back in our care and we need a placement for her as soon as possible.

Luna needs a home with either no other dogs, or only male dogs. She is not good with female dogs. She is also leery of (human) men, as she has only been minimally exposed to them - she spent the first year of her life with only women and was fostered by only women for the next 2 years. A home with a male is okay but she will need some time and space to decompress and gather her confidence.

Egyptian Baladis are very sweet and loving dogs. They take some time to open up and trust, but once they do, they are loyal companions. They are very quick learners and have no issues adapting to new situations and surroundings. Baladi’s are said to be mixes of the ancient sighthounds and are very fast. They love to run and chase balls and toys around.

While Luna may look like a “plain Jane” in her photos, she is strikingly beautiful.

Luna is currently at a temp foster home until mid December, but is able to be moved to a different area for the right foster home.
