Here's what the humans have to say about me:
·Intake Reason: Returned - not enough time -Weight: 17 lbs Known with: ·Cats: Unknown ·Dogs: Unknown ·Kids: Unknown
Hi, my name is Forest and I am as cute as a bug's ear. I am a youngster who has a ton to learn, discover and explore and I am counting on you to help me safely navigate the world and experience new things each day to allow me to grow into a confident young dog. I am a friendly lad who can be a bit shy when I first meet someone, so I appear to be a wallflower; once I am comfortable with someone the lover-boy inside me is sure to shine through. Puppies are rambunctious, playful, lively and fun but do require a certain amount of work and effort to raise properly, so I will need my new family to be committed. Many things that seem common ordinary to you are completely new to me so I need you to be my advocate and give me time to experience things at my own pace. Although I should always be relatively small, I will grow a bit more as I mature to adulthood and I would love to take some classes with you to learn proper manners and social skills so I am the gentleman welcome everywhere we go. I will need to practice something called house-training so that I know proper potty behavior. A routine, lots of yummy treats and praise will go a long way to helping me master house-training when I use the outside facilities. Puppies and dogs need love, exercise, mental stimulation and consistency to be healthy, happy and confident. I should be very open to all sorts of housemates; I can be a bit mischievous and may find any other critter as a potential playmate so they will need to understand that about me. I often explore the world with my mouth and while I am teething I like to chew; my little puppy teeth are very sharp so if I am around children we should always be supervised. It is important that children learn about respecting me, too, and treat me gently because I am sensitive and fragile. Raising a puppy is a big responsibility, a lot of work, and it may interrupt your sleep cycle for a bit, but a courteous and well-behaved dog is certainly worth the investment and I promise to be loyal, love you unconditionally and be a companion forever. I think we can share a magnificent life together filled with many exciting days, joyous moments and snuggly nights. Come by to meet me in person and prepare to be impressed. #2

Visit the shelter. We have an application that takes about 15 minutes to fill out once you have found a pet you like. You call back the next day which gives us time to review the application and gives you 24 hours to think about your decision to adopt. You can also complete our on-line application and get approved in advance of finding the perfect companion. Once approved, you are able to adopt an animal the same day.
