***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation***
Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues.

WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS.
Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog.

We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around WA & OR, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA.

Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, or cash. We no longer accept PayPal due to their fees they charge the rescue but if the potential adopter wants to pay the fees we will accept PayPal.

The sheer evil that Bentley endured is just soul destroying. Bentley along with his 2 siblings had been kept to 3 in a crate & the breeder was not feeding them. She said she was forgetting to feed them & they were beyond thin & eating their fecis. We were asked could we help Bentley & 5 other standard poodle puppies & their dad & we have to say that each of these dogs are the most lovely dogs you would ever meet.
Bentley is the biggest sweetheart. It’s so damn sad to think about his previous life & the lack of care.
Bentley who is now looking for his very own forever home & who will never give up on him & love him just as we do.

Bentley is a very soft gentle soul & at the same time so full of life love. He likes to lay with you & can't be happier being petted & touched once he knows & trusts you. We had to work on building this trust & confidence because all he knew was the cage he lived in. He gets very attached to his people. His foster mum said he was laying with his sister Diana & sleeping & his tail was thumping while asleep, meaning wagging as he was so happy & comfortable.
He is a big boy & can put his paws on the kitchen counters so this has to be remembered as he loves to eat.
Let’s face it, he now knows what love is & he now gets to experience what love, devotion & a safe environment is.
He will go up to his foster mum for kisses & love.
He would need time of course to adjust to his new forever home & patience.

He enjoys sleeping on the bed with you or a pile of blankets with his foster siblings. He loves sleeps with his foster family in the bed with them & taught himself to run up the hardwood stairs when he thinks it’s time to go to bed.
This boy loves a good couch & so enjoys sitting on a chair & looking out the window.

He eats a clean diet in his foster home with raw proteins, vegetables, fruits, cooked grains & supplements. He also likes bully sticks & collagen sticks.
He does wonderful on this diet.
We had to teach him not to eat his fecis as that’s what he had known to survive. He was full of worms & was treated several times & treated for giradia.

Bentley’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard for his safety. He enjoys going out into the backyard & sunning himself & even enjoys the rain. He could climb a small fence but a normal fence he cannot.
He adores both his foster mum & dad but more so his foster mum.
Bentley was so matted to the skin that we did not know where his tail started & ended because the matting was absolutely horrendous & severe.
Bentley has been great with his baths because he started having them with us the moment he was rescued so he is used to them. He is used to being dried with a hairdryer. He will just let you dry him. He is wonderful with being groomed. His foster mum cleans his ears out regularly & he does really well having his ear cleaned considering we don’t know if they were ever previously done.
He has put on a lot of weight since being in the rescue. The most of the bulk of his weight.

Bentley rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & will sit next to you with his dog’s friends. He walks well on his lead now & did good considering he had never been taught. He still needs work & encouragement though. We are looking for a forever home for Bentley where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. We are also looking for a crate free home for the little lad only. He was left in a cage until we rescued him.
Bentley is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him.

Bentley has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & was fostered with other dogs in his foster home & does well with them & enjoys their company & is currently fostered with his sister Diana. He absolutely loves dogs & adores playing with them & must go to a forever home with at home with another playful dog in the home. He even loves playing with puppies.
Please do not say your neighbors have a dog or family members as that will not work, the home must have another dog for him to play & be with.

Bentley is roughly 10 months old 43 lbs & is a standard poodle & what he is mixed with we are not sure at all. He had a dental scale & polish & dental x-rays. He is male, neutered my laser, microchipped, up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, bordatella, rabies & being dewormed.
He has had his ears cleaned & meds put into them.

Bentley has not been around cats since being in the rescue nor children so we do not recommend either. But it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. We have not had him around small children. But we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children.

We were not there when Bentley was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is.

We have so spent far more on Bentley with all of his medical, neuter by laser, dental, shots, food etc than his adoption fee even comes close to touching. We are so financially in the red from rescuing him but he is so worth it.

As with all of our rescues & Bentley’s friends & siblings he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Bentley potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond.

We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying.
Bentley has been through many traumas in his short time on this earth so when applying this needs to be kept in mind & for his care.

Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Bentley & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Bentley who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this spirited little lad.
Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt.

Bentley has an adoption fee of $1255 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.
