Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Maple is an approximately 10 month old Akita (mix?). Maple is a very sweet girl that can be shy and reserved with new people. She needs an owner committed to providing her with positive reinforcement and experiences moving forward. She is petrified of cats, and stays out of their way, so we are thinking she would be fine in a home with kitties. She has done well on pack walks with other dogs but doesn't always love them in the household when they attempt to play, etc. so she may do best without dogs or with another relaxed and confident, dog friendly dog. She seems to be house trained, crate trained, and rides well in the car. We think small children would be too much for her. Her adoption fee is $150 and includes her spay, microchip, vaccinations and negative heartworm test. Please call 630-553-9256 or email animalcontrol@Kendallcountyil.gov for more information on starting the adoption process.

Kendall County Animal Control is the county agency responsible for enforcement of the state statutes governing rabies control in domestic companion animals. The State of Illinois requires that all dogs are vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian. Compliance with this law is monitored through the issuance of rabies tags for all dogs residing in the county. All dogs are required to wear their rabies tags when off of the owner's property. If a pet is lost, rabies tags also provide an excellent means of identifying your pet.
Kendall County Animal Control also enforces the county's ordinance that prohibits dogs from running at large in unincorporated residential subdivisions, investigates reports of animal bites, and will pick up contained stray dogs in unincorporated Kendall County during operating hours. Stray and owner released cats and dogs may also be brought to the facility during business hours. Cats and dogs are available for adoption at the facility.
