My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Much like his name, Casper is a friendly little guy with lots of playful energy! He seems to never tire from chasing toys and bits of trash around the house. He is vocal and will let you know when he needs you to pick him up and give him cuddles, feed him, or move his chasing stick around. He is very food motivated and goes absolutely bananas for a churu tube. Once you've tired him out with play or food, he wants to curl up on your lap and get real close to your face so he can give you little love bites on your nose or chin. The minute you start to pet him he will begin purring. He gets along with other cats and would do well with a playful playmate or someone who spends enough time at home to give him adequate attention. If you are a new human, he might be a little hesitant around you, but give it 48 hours and a few churus and soon he'll be craving your attention. The only household he probably wouldn't be perfect for is one with a small child. He does have a tendency to bite during play. He's never aggressive but we do have to constantly remind him that our fingers are not toys.

Casper will bring energy, curiosity, a spunky personality, and cuteness into your life!

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
