Ellie is an incredibly smart, loving, and high energy dog that struggles with some anxiety and reactivity after being attacked by a dog when she was a puppy. She would love to be in a home with someone who loves playing fetch, hide and seek, and loves to cuddle. She bonds with people easily, but does not do well with small children (the reason we have to rehome her), dogs, or cats. She likes to hike and run, and would do well in a household where she has access to a yard or acreage.
Ellie gets stressed out with loud noises and busy environments and will need continued and constant training with leash walking, recall, and staying calm. She would be a good dog for an experienced dog owner, preferably someone who understands how to mentally and physically stimulate herding dogs.
