Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I was said to be a heeler mix the shelter staff think I am maybe more of a sighthound type breed. As I am lean and tall. I am very shy when it comes to new people and I need to be able to take my time with you. Going on walks helps me relax and open up a lot more. Once I get to know you I will let you see more of my personality, I tend to be more goofy, playful, and snuggly. I am treat motivated. I do have to disclose I do have a bite history I was with my owner and I nipped someone and then he was forced to give me up. I really didn't mean to I didn't know it was going to mean I couldn't stay with him. I was forced into what is called rabies quarantine, I am clear now and the vet team who quarantined me said I was a good boy and never showed any signs of wanting to bite or aggression. Just to take your time with me when you are a new person. When I first got to this new shelter I let them handle me with no problems but now that I really know them man am I a goof ball I run and act crazy and have even made a few dog friends. I know I made a mistake but I will do my very best to be a good boy I swear will you please take me home?

Their adoption process
Additional adoption info
The Rangely Animal Shelter works very hard to find homes for all adoptable animals. We require that the adoptive family includes the dog or cat as a highly regarded family member. We do have an adoption contract and there are certain qualifications that can be different with every dog or cat. All animals are spayed or neutered are micro-chipped and have all current vaccinations. We do require a 125.00 donation for adoptions that goes back into our spay and neuter program, and covers the registration for the micro-chip for the animal. This fee does not cover all of the costs but we would rather these animals find forever homes than charging a fee that no one can afford.
